Blow Molded Specialities is Hiring a Press Operator Near Foley, MN

Blow Molded Specialities is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for molding and finishing parts, maintaining the cleanliness of your workstation, and contributing to the overall housekeeping of the plant. Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing is preferred.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High School diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Must successfully complete Drug/Alcohol and Background screening as required after conditional job offer has been made.
  • Ability to read, write and perform basic math to complete required record keeping and training.
  • Ability to work independently with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team setting and demonstrate a positive work attitude.
  • Ability to complete on-the-job training to learn production, quality and safety procedures.
  • Must abide by attendance policy.
  • Support and exemplify company values of excellence, integrity, respect and fairness.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the production manual to make parts, including maintaining the defined work process, inspecting parts throughout the production cycle, correctly labeling products, and accurately completing quality and production documents.
  • Understand and strive to meet pace and yield standards during the manufacturing of parts.
  • Control the molding process using control charts and perform minor adjustments as required to maintain process control.
  • Assist in maximizing plant productivity by helping other Press Operators in manufacturing.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work cell, including cutting and grinding all scrap parts and plastic made during shift, removing any materials from earlier runs, keeping floors clean, and keeping operator work stands clean and organized.
  • Assist in maintaining plant housekeeping, including keeping aisles and exits clear, keeping staging area organized, keeping the silo/Gaylord and regrind areas clean and organized, labeling regrind, and removing empty and broken pallets.
  • Communicate production issues with the Production Supervisor and the following shift’s Press Operators.
  • Assist in maintenance and equipment set up as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as requested by the Production Supervisor.

Physical Activities and Requirements

Definitions:

Sedentary (S): Usually involves sitting most of the time; exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally or negligible force frequently; includes standing and walking for brief periods of time occasionally.

Light (L): Exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, or up to 10 lbs. frequently, or a negligible amount of force continuously. Includes (1) significant walking or standing, or (2) sitting most of the time, but entails pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls.

Medium (M): Lifting 50 lbs. maximum and/or frequent lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs.

Heavy (H): Lifting 100 lbs. maximum and/or frequently lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

Very Heavy (VH): Lifting in excess of 100 lbs. and/or frequently lifting or carrying objects weighing 50 lbs. or more.
